Choose the Pack Around the Exchange

Open the Premier Exchange board before spending MT because its live requirement sets the useful pack volume. Read the board requirement and end date first, then decide how many packs you actually need.

Open the pack and review every card on the result screen. Keep useful cards in the collection and reserve lower or mid-level cards that match the visible Premier Exchange requirement.
Return to MyTEAM > Exchange > Premier Exchange and compare the board requirement with your duplicate count. Do not submit a card only because it looks spare; it may be the last useful piece for another line.
Select only the required cards, review the final confirmation panel, and confirm the swap. The submitted items should leave the eligible list, while the reward or completion state appears on the Exchange board.
Stop as soon as the requirement is met. Recheck your remaining MT and the Exchange end date before opening another Chain Pack row.

Keep the Season Track Working

Clear free rewards before buying more Chain Pack volume. Daily and weekly agendas can pay MT or packs, while Play Now challenges give a thin collection another starting point before store spending. City XP earned through MyTEAM still counts toward the shared Level 1-40 season ladder, so sessions built around MT agendas can also move Season progress.

Season 2 starts with a Level 1 Diamond Jason Kidd and points toward the base Season Level 40 Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns reward. Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass add a separate premium 40-level track with a Pro Pass Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns at Level 40. Keep those two reward paths separate when checking what your account already has.

Patch 2.0 shipped with Season 2 and changed the wider loop around MyTEAM. The sensible order is still active locker codes, daily and weekly agendas, Premier Exchange requirements, and only then the smallest Chain Pack volume that closes a real gap.

Stop Before the Value Drops

2K does not publish pull rates for Chain Packs or other MyTEAM packs. Treat percentage claims in posts as unverified, and do not assume that extra openings create a guaranteed path to a headline card. The Exchange requirement should be your stopping rule, not an unconfirmed rate.

Locker codes are a separate MT-adjacent source and are limited to one redemption per account. Check the in-game redemption screen for any code that is still active, including MYTEAM-TRAINING-HUB if it remains live, before spending MT. Auction House flips carry account risk, so agenda MT plus targeted Chain Pack volume is the safer planning baseline.

Next, open MyTEAM > Exchange > Premier Exchange, write down the live Pixel Cut Kareem Abdul-Jabbar requirement, and compare it with your duplicate count.
